Comix.blog is a collaborative storytelling platform where people create digital comic-book style stories together.
Log in with your Google account and either join an existing story or create your own. Each story can have multiple authors working together to build scenes, characters, and plot twists in real time.
Writing With AI |
As of March 15 2026, this site no longer uses AI-generated content.
This decision was made after receiving numerous concerns from artists and writers who felt that AI-generated material was interfering with the creative process and making it harder for authentic, human-created work to flourish. Because many people raised the same concern in similar ways, I decided it was important to listen to the community and remove AI from the site.
Story Roles & Permissions |
Note: Deleting a story permanently removes all associated posts, comments, and characters.
Public vs. Private Stories |
When creating a story, you can choose whether it is public or private.
Anyone can join instantly.
Users must request to join by clicking the yellow button on the story page. You will receive an email notification and can approve or deny the request.
Tip: If you remove someone from a story and don’t want them to rejoin, set the story to private.
Creating Characters |
Adding characters is simple:
Comix.blog also provides a large image database to help you create compelling covers and character visuals.
Posting & Editing |
Click a character’s face in the side panel to post as that character.
To edit a post, hover over it and click the edit button in the upper-right corner.
You can:
The Insert option allows you to add a new post directly before the selected post, making it easy to refine story continuity or add missing details.
Story Chat (OOC) |
Every story includes a built-in chat room for out-of-character (OOC) discussion. Use it to plan scenes, discuss direction, coordinate with co-authors, and share ideas outside the narrative.
The Schoolyard (Social Network) |
The Schoolyard is comix.blog’s built-in social network—your central hub for connecting, sharing, and staying engaged with the community.
The Bulletin Board is your public voice. Anything you post here appears in a global feed visible to everyone. Every seven days, you also get the chance to promote one of your stories—giving it extra visibility on both the feed and the scrolling ticker.
The Lunch Table is where things get more personal. It shows posts from you, the people you follow, and any threads you’ve interacted with—like sitting at a real lunch table, surrounded by the conversations you actually care about.
The Backpack is your curated world. It’s powered entirely by who you follow, gathering together their stories, characters, and posts in one place—so you can easily keep up with everything your circle is creating.
The Classrooms are private spaces for each story you’re part of, whether as an admin or a member. Here, you can brainstorm, outline ideas, get feedback, or just chat with your fellow creators.
My Stories |
The My Stories page shows every story you’re involved in, whether you’re an administrator or a member.
From here, you can open stories, leave a story (if you’re a member), delete a story (if you’re the administrator), toggle public/private mode, and edit the title or prologue.
Account Settings |
In your settings, you can update your display name, change your avatar, and enable or disable email notifications.
Removing an Author |
If you are the administrator of a story:
The author will no longer be able to participate unless they rejoin. Their posts and characters will remain in the story.
For stronger moderation control, consider switching the story to private.
